Die Antiquiertheit des Menschen (The Outdatedness of Human Beings)

A puppet show by Suse Wächter based on Günther Anders

Premiere 18/12/2015

MalerSaal

Running time: One hour, 30 minutes, no interval

Man is no match for the perfection of his products. He produces more than he can imagine. He believes he is allowed to do anything of which he technically capable. But his fantasy is long outdated. His appearance is outdated. His work is outdated. His privacy is outdated. Even dying is totally outdated. He should be ashamed of himself!

Günther Anders’ theses about the “Outdatedness of Human Beings” are now more than half a century old, so the time has come for Suse Wächter’s puppets to finally pose the embarrassing question: If that is the case, why is this loser still around? Why doesn’t he just abdicate?
